Each year the Welsh Orienteering Association presents the Volunteer of the Year and the Orienteer of the Year .
The awards for 2025 were presented at Swansea Bay’s Midsummer on Gower event.
Volunteer of the Year – Niall Reynolds (SBOC)
In 2025 Niall has continued his work with schools, organising and planning the British Schools Score champs as well as finding time to organise the Kenfig Welsh league event and chair SBOC.
Orienteer of the Year – Ben Mitchell (SBOC)
In 2025 Ben became “King of the Forest” winning the men’s title at the British Orienteering Long Championships in Grizedale Forest. He also made his World Orienteering Championships competing in the middle race in Finland.
